Ticketing Information

• All events that require a ticket for entry have booking information on the event listing.
• Many of the ticketed Christchurch events are booked through Ticketek.
• Free tickets can be booked through individual event organisers, not Ticketek.
• Ticket info for Waimakariri and Selwyn districts is also listed with their events.

Parent/Caregiver Tickets

Because of capacity limits, many events require parents/caregivers to also book in advance. They are often free of charge unless stated in the event listing. Remember to check when you book your kids’ tickets!

Different Ways to Buy Ticketek Tickets

Check here for the cheapest way to buy TV2 KidsFest Ticketek tickets, as this can vary depending on how many you are purchasing and where you purchase from.

Ticketek Preferential Mail Order (By 4pm Weds 11 June 2008)

Before TV2 KidsFest tickets go on general public sale, you can book in advance through Ticketek Mail Order. Mail Order bookings incur a one-off service fee of $8.50. A Mail Order Booking Form is included in the brochure, or you can download one below. Mail Order Booking Forms and payment must be received by Ticketek no later than 4pm on Wednesday 11 June 2008. Tickets will be mailed to you when the order is processed. Free events are not bookable through Ticketek. If an event is “sold out”, you will be mailed a notification of the *refund difference. If the cost amount on a cheque is not correct, the transaction can not be processed and the cheque will be returned without tickets.

Ticketek Phone/Credit Card Bookings (from Sat 21 June 2008)

Phone Ticketek on (03) 377 8899. Phone/Credit Card Bookings incur a one-off service fee of $8.50.

In person at a Ticketek Box Office (from Sat 21 June 2008)

In person at the Christchurch Town Hall Box Office a service fee of $1 applies to each ticket $20 & under. For each ticket over $20 a $2 service fee applies. Christchurch Town Hall opens for TV2 KidsFest ticket sales at 10am on Saturday 21 June 2008.

In person at any other Ticketek outlet a flat service fee of $6 applies no matter how many tickets you buy. i.e. one ticket will cost the price of the ticket plus $6 service fee – Buy 10 tickets and still only pay $6 service fee. These suburban outlets open for TV2 KidsFest ticket sales from Saturday 21 June 2008. Check outlets for opening hours.

Ticket Exchanges or Transfers and Event Cancellations

service fees are non-refundable. There will be no exchanges, transfers or refunds on any Ticketek booked event unless the event is cancelled and no alternative event or location is scheduled - or as applies under the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantee Act 1993.
