 Malcolm the MonkeyI'm Malcolm. I live in the dense African rain forest, but I have cousins in Central and South America, and also in Southern Asia. I like to spend time with my troop – that's my family and friends. It's great because all us young ones get to play! I spend a lot of my time swinging in the branches of the trees. I have really strong arms that help me swing really well. Sometimes it feels like I'm flying! Having a tail is just like having another arm. I use it to help me swing, find food and hang onto branches. Imagine what you could do with another arm! I make my bed up in the trees too; I make it out of leaves and branches so I can lie down and get a good sleep. When I wake up in the morning I usually try and find something to eat. I'm an omnivore so I eat all kinds of things like fruit, plants, insects, eggs, even meat, but fruit is my favourite – it is so yummy and good for you too! |
